The Moon
The Art of Intuition
Intuition · Mystery · Inner Wisdom · Self-Trust
This art means so much to me.
It's about learning to trust the quiet voice within us, even when the world around us feels uncertain.
It's about the wild and the tame. The light and the shadow. The parts of ourselves we've learned to show the world and the parts we've kept hidden.
This piece flowed out of me almost instinctively.
A divine feminine spirit stands barefoot beneath the moon, grounded in the earth with one hand resting gently over her heart.
Beside her stands a loyal husky, while a wild wolf howls into the night.
Above them, the moon rises like a celestial guardian, illuminating the mysteries that lie ahead.
She trusts the wisdom that lives within her, even when she can't see the entire path.
She's not afraid of the dark.
She is the light within it.
✦ BEHIND THE SYMBOLISM
The Moon is card XVIII of the Major Arcana, traditionally representing intuition, dreams, the subconscious, and the mysteries of the unknown.
In classical tarot imagery, a wolf and a domesticated dog stand beneath the moon, representing the wild and conditioned sides of our nature.
The moon itself reminds us that not everything is as it appears and that sometimes we must navigate life without complete clarity.
In my interpretation, I've placed a woman at the centre of these opposing forces.
She represents the divine feminine learning to embrace every part of herself: her instincts, emotions, vulnerability, strength, and untamed spirit.
Her hand rests over her heart as a symbol of self-trust.
Because sometimes our greatest wisdom doesn't come from thinking.
It comes from feeling.
✦ IF THIS CARD FINDS YOU...
Perhaps you're standing somewhere between who you were and who you're becoming.
Perhaps the answers aren't clear yet.
That's okay.
You don't need to have everything figured out. You don't need to force the next chapter or know exactly where the road will lead.
Listen to your intuition. Honour your dreams. Make peace with the parts of yourself you've been afraid to explore.
There is extraordinary power in a woman who learns to trust her own knowing.
You already know.
