The Fool
The Art of Becoming
New Beginnings · Freedom · Courage · Infinite Possibility
This art is a portal to pure possibility.
She is the dreamer standing at the edge of everything she has ever known. Wide-eyed, heart open, and ready to leap into the unknown.
The lake sparkles behind her, clouds drift like whispers, and butterflies dance around her. With her little companion by her side and a rose in her hand, she moves light and blissful, suspended in that magical moment just before the beginning.
This piece bloomed out of me in washes of teal and turquoise, colours that evoke freedom, serenity, and the infinite possibilities waiting beyond our comfort zones.
She's not afraid of falling.
She's in love with flying.
✦ BEHIND THE SYMBOLISM
In traditional tarot, The Fool is the very beginning of the Major Arcana journey. Numbered zero, The Fool represents unlimited potential, innocence, spontaneity, and the courage to embrace a new path.
The little dog is a traditional symbol of loyalty, instinct, and protection. The edge represents the threshold between the familiar and the unknown.
The butterflies are my own addition, symbolizing transformation, growth, and the magic of becoming.
In my interpretation, The Fool is a woman discovering that her greatest freedom comes from trusting herself.
She doesn't need to know exactly where she's going.
She simply needs to believe she's capable of getting there.
✦ IF THIS CARD FINDS YOU...
Perhaps something new is calling your name.
A dream. A beginning. A version of yourself you haven't quite met yet.
You don't need every answer before taking the first step. Sometimes the best chapters begin with a little courage and a whole lot of faith.
Trust the journey. Follow the spark.
The whole world is waiting for you.
